ON/OFF configuration
- Used by Monterey Boats, Boston Whaler and used with our custom Contura 5 engraved actuators
- 12V dual lamps. The lamp in the #1 (top) position is independent, The lamp in the #2 (bottom) position is dependent and illuminates when the switch is actuated to the ON position.
- An independent lamp has both a positive and negative terminal as opposed to the standard switches that just have a negative terminal. Independent lamps can be lit independently of the handle position as opposed to standard "dependent" lamps that get their power internally when the handle moves to the "on" position
- 4 terminal; Terminal #8 is power and Terminal #7 ground for the lamps, and Terminal #8 is the power for the independent lamp (top lamp). Terminal #2 is power in and Terminal #3 is power out
- Typically the independent lamp is wired to the navigation light or dash light circuit so that the lamp will always be illuminated at night when the rest of the lights are on. The engraving in certain actuators like our C5's will illuminate. The bottom lamp will illuminate when the switch is moved to the "ON" position.
- Common for Marine, RV, automotive, and other 12V DC applications.
