A dash panel can be a close reproduction of the original or the foundation for a complete helm update. FP Marine can revise cutouts for new chartplotters, gauges, switches, displays, controls, and accessories while retaining the panel's overall shape, mounting locations, and relationship to surrounding parts.
FP Marine's drawing library was developed through thousands of projects covering hundreds of boat manufacturers. That history often provides a proven starting point. When the correct drawing is unavailable—or the original has changed—the project can be engineered from the stripped original panel and verified equipment information.
Every custom decision should be visible in the drawing before material is cut. That approval step protects both the fit and the customer's intent.

Panel-only projects focus on fit, finish, cutouts, and protected labeling. Fully wired assemblies add a specified electrical system behind that finished face. Components vary by project and quote.
Panel material
Proprietary blended, impact-modified and scratch-resistant acrylic selected for a high-gloss marine helm application.
Protected engraving
Text and graphics are produced beneath the clear surface, avoiding exposed lettering and separate surface windows that can collect dirt and moisture.
Finished edges
Rounded, polished edges and a continuous finished face support an integrated, professional appearance.
Marine wiring
Fully wired projects can use appropriately sized, ABYC color-coded tinned copper conductors rather than an undifferentiated bundle of one wire color.
Connections
Labeled heat-shrink connections, genuine Molex terminals, and genuine Deutsch disconnect components can be specified for serviceable installation.
Circuit protection
Genuine MP or ETA breakers and quality copper/phenolic busbars can distribute power with organized feeds appropriate to the approved design.

A fully wired panel is not automatically universal or completely plug-and-play. The final connection method depends on the boat, existing harnesses, controlled loads, and the approved scope.

FP Marine schedules in-house production, performs quality checks, and ships the completed order.
WHAT TO SEND
Better source information reduces assumptions.
Start with one straight-on photograph of each panel and one wider image showing how the panels relate to the helm. Include the boat's year, manufacturer, exact model, overall dimensions, and a clear explanation of what stays and what changes.
For every new gauge, display, switch, or accessory, provide the manufacturer and exact model number. Product-family names alone may not distinguish mounting dimensions. If no verified drawing exists, FP Marine may request the stripped original panel so its outline, curves, holes, and cutouts can be documented accurately.

FP Marine supports individual restoration projects as well as repeat requirements for marine businesses. Existing drawings, documented production processes, in-house manufacturing, and component sourcing allow one supplier to handle replacement panels, customized layouts, and fully wired assemblies.

Can FP Marine make a panel for any boat manufacturer?
FP Marine produces panels for virtually any boat manufacturer. Its library spans thousands of projects and hundreds of manufacturers, but availability of an existing drawing varies by boat and panel.
Can the new panel be different from the original?
Yes. Cutouts, equipment placement, labels, colors, switches, gauges, and electronics can be revised around the approved layout and component specifications.
Do I need to send my original panel?
Not always. An existing drawing may provide the starting point. A new or highly customized project may require the stripped original panel because it provides the most reliable physical reference for shape, mounting holes, curves, and cutouts.
Can FP Marine wire the panel?
Yes. Wired and unwired options are available. A fully wired assembly can include appropriately sized ABYC color-coded tinned copper wire, labeled heat-shrink connections, genuine Molex terminals, genuine Deutsch disconnects, circuit protection, and busbars as specified for the project.
How is the design approved?
For a new design, FP Marine prepares a drawing showing the panel geometry, cutouts, labels, and layout. The customer reviews and approves that drawing before the panel is scheduled for production.
How long does a custom panel take?
Timing depends on whether a drawing already exists, the number of panels, customization, components, wiring, and current production demand. FP Marine has documented 5–7 business-day production windows for some new-panel projects, but the current quote and approved schedule control each order.
